Kasich could have had a shot if he hadn't gone in for the asinine Jon Huntsman strategy being peddled by Rick Weaver, although it doesn't help that the GOP establishment/the media is hooked on this bizarre idea that the Republican party needs to nominate a young 'charismatic' politician from a minority background to win the White House, a front on which Kasich doesn't exactly cut the mustard.
