Good, if some whacko like Diane Black wins the nomination and it's a Democratic year then Karl Dean just might be able to win with a little luck.

He will need a lot of luck, not "a little".....

It's a figure of speech   And Dean is a strong enough candidate to win in a good Democratic year against a weak Republican.  It's an uphill climb for sure, but far from impossible.
