I think this is all going to end up backfiring on Trump & co. pretty badly. This isn't going to be a popular policy, and like the Muslim ban and the wall, it's going to anger way more people than it's going to enthuse. Like Atlas has said about Democrats, focusing on identity politics and ethnonationalism at the expense of other issues is not going to be a good look.
