When was the last time a leading presidential candidate, in the middle of their campaign, made a trans-Atlantic trip to promote their business interests rather than to talk foreign policy with world leaders?

This reminds me vaguely of when Cain was Cainpaigning ( Couldn't resist Tongue ) in states that held their primary's long after Super Tuesday while he was leading in the polls everywhere.

Normally I'd think it was a foolish strategy, but everything Trump has done so far has worked out for him, so maybe this actually impresses his fans. He could frame it as being able to make real deals while the "do nothings" in Washington can't even pass simple laws.
