soda ban?

no soda has been banned in nyc.

facts, people.

Fine, the ban on soda sizes. Equally as stupid.

So it's stupid, intrusive, AND ineffective? Good to know.

If I'm a high school senior and I just get off track practice and I need some high-caffeine sh#t for a cheap price to guzzle before work, I don't need some assholes in power to tell me that they've made it illegal. I'd prefer to be able to pick it up from McDonald's with the rest of my meal.

I don't hate Bloomberg. I probably "approve" of him if a pollster asked. I will defend to the death the soda regulation. But I'm happy he's not going to be mayor anymore, and I'm happy that Bill de Blasio is replacing him.

I don't know about the bolded part (though replace "soda ban" with "congestion pricing" and it certainly applies), but this is roughly where I am.
