Shows that NJ doesn't care that they elect some of the worst Democratic politicians.

Agreed, but their GOP politicians are just as bad.

Honestly, this is probably the worst senate matchup in the nation. Thank God I don't live in New Jersey; I can't bring myself to support either candidate. I suppose if a gun was pointed at my head I'd vote for Menendez (because Kean is awful at debating), but I'd still have to take a shower afterwards.

Menendez is kind of a dumbass, voting for the Flag burning amendment, and appearantly he doesn't understand the 4th amendment very well. That said, he's still far better than total joke Kean.

I'd rather have Doug Forrester and Tom Kean in power then most high level GOP officials our nation has.

Forrester was OK but Kean's very stupid.  You shouldn't want Kean in power.

He's not very stupid, he isn't a good debater, especially when he's up against a pro like Menendez.

I'd rather have a President Kean than a President Bush.

NJ's about to have a budget problem. Corzine and the Democratic legislature can't agree. Might have some effect on the races in 2006.

Probably small effect (if any), I admit, but if Kean can get close, maybe it puts him over the top.

They should have rigged it so everything looks great for the election year, like they did here in California.

Does anyone think that Kean looks kinda like a simpering rat?  Menendez looks like an elf with a cold. His nose is always red.

This poll proves that debates this early are generally ignored. Menendez should be up by double digits now.

The debate was after this poll.

Yeah I agree, or even better yet Rob Andrews.  NJ should not be a state to defend especially with the current national climate.  Our money should be going to OH, MO, MT, or to give us a better chance in VA or RI.
