I'm thinking this could be a way to stimulate interest in the Wiki. If you write an exceptional article, it will be showcased for all to read! Smiley

Well, I would happily serve on the commission... Tongue I purposely didn't define terms, so someone could remain on it indefinitely until they either quit or ertr fired. I was hoping that would keep it simple.

What would be a better way for determining the winner then? At least one person will have to coordinate it.

Personally, I think there are more than three people interested in the Wiki who would like to participate. I understand the hesitation due to past committees, though... But I would like to serve on it, so 1/3 down! Smiley

Well, I for one would like to serve on the Commission. So that is 1/3 right there! It would seem kind of silly to have just one person pick it.

Maybe, if you guys really don't want a commission, we could have one person/Senator pick 3-5 nominees, and then the Senate could vote on the article... But that also sounds like a lot of effort. Come up with some ideas if you don't like the current bill (though it would be preferable if you gave me a chance to reply before you officially proposed it as an amendment Wink)

Just say no to excessive committees. It's a simple slogan I have sitting on my desk.

Does that mean you think the article of the month idea is a bad one? If not, how would you propose deciding what the article of the month is?

Two people could result in a tie, though... Tongue

Well considering we have more than enough people interested, I think this is worth a shot. We can always amend or repeal this legislation if it doesn't work out like we hope.

There aren't a lot of active editors on the Wiki... Maybe 10 or so at most. This bill's goal is to bring attention and activity to the Wiki and to increase its overall quality. I certainly don't expect brand new members to start editing the Wiki right after they join Atlasia.
