First I assume he will not return to his ancestral home and become Prime Minister of Kenya, the pay is too low.
So I think he will sign on with a Wall Street firm, get a 7 figure salary to bring his donor friends to the firm.   Like Clinton, I expect he will hit the speaking circuit and charge $100K for giving speeches, but mostly kick back, play some golf, shoot some hops, (like he does now) and enjoy a carefree life free of economic worries..

I have stated above that if Obama loses and goes on to make public speeches that he could earn $1,000,000.00 or more per speech.

Is this figure too high, even for a former U.S. President, even for Obama?

Or would the figure be more like $100,000.00 per speech?

Thoughts?

The only thing that would surprise me would be Obama retiring. He could do anything, run again, college prof, run for Senate again? Has that ever happed. USSC is certainly something he could have in his future. Anything where he isn't the executive making the final call I think he could do well in.

He might run for statewide office in Illinois again or take another crack at the presidency. He may take an ambassadorial job (U.S. Ambassador to the UN or U.S. Ambassador to Kenya would be his best).

He would probably run again in 2016 or run for governor of Illinois or Hawaii.

Maybe he'll retire to Martha's Vineyard and run for governor of Taxachusetts. It's a possibility Tongue.
