This is the first election since 1932 where neither candidate had served. Obama and Ryan were too young, Biden was too old, and Romney was in France.

Has this issue been brought up at all?

The last time the candidate with more military experience than his opponent won was 1988.  If this issue matters at all, apparently it has the opposite effect to what people would expect.
