The Politico: "One important Clinton adviser estimated to Politico privately that she has no more than a 10 percent chance of winning her race against Barack Obama, an appraisal that was echoed by other operatives."

No surprise there, they're in a position to see the writing on the wall. Don't blame them for sticking around on the campaign though, all that matters is the paycheck.

id bet my last nickel that the unnamed adviser is mark penn.

because he is a self absorbed rat bastard.

anyway, too bad dick morris and mark penn arent working together anymore.  maybe they could dream up some big issues like the v-chip, school uniforms, and the abolition of joe camel...to get the 'soccer moms' in hillary's corner.

They should advise her to drop out then, since at this point, she's just hurting the party's future nominee.  How much more grievous does she need to make the wound??

I'd say ALL of her campaign advisers are self absorbed rat bastards.  And inept.  The only thing more startling than the dirtiness of her campaign, is the ineptitude.

No chance but they'll stick around to hurt the nominee with big wins in PA, KY, WV, etc. Thanks folks.

It's not the advisers, it's the Clinton's.  She wants to make this wound very, very, very deep. Do not make any mistake about the Queen.  She has got her eye on 2012 when she is 64 years old.   If Obama wins the Presidency, she has to wait 8 years more until she is 68 years old.  Very unlikely for her.

Indeed.  When Clinton loses, I wouldn't be surprised to see her network quietly support McCain, giving him an almost Nixon-in-'68 path to the presidency.

To make it even more perfect, McCain is either a one term President or will be running for re-election at age 76.  Quite old.  She could have a shot at an open seat in 2012.  If not, a shot at a really old President.  A good scenario for her.

This will just make it all the more amazing when Clinton wins the nomination. It will be so miraculous that it will be in the nature of a religious experience for us all.

She's not going to win. However, she will come out looking good in the end. She'll narrow the gap in delegates and popular vote through June. She can then clamor for the seating of the FL and MI delegates, and generally come off looking good (who doesn't look good when they want 'all the votes to count'). From there it's a nice shot at 2012 or maybe something else...

Frankly, even if Clinton is 100% sure of losing it would make no sense to give in now. No one in this position would.
