Thank you Mr. Speaker.

Gentlemen and ladie....meh, who am I kidding? This is Atlasia. RIP Siren Sad

In all seriousness, I have an Attempted Rape trial starting in a bit over 24 hours. Please be patient. If you post your questions in full expect a slew of responses Friday, and responses to your responses to my responses (follow that?) over the weekend.

I have no questions.  I have no qualms about your qualifications.

I guess, to make this interesting, can you discuss two court cases (any Atlasian cases) where you disagree with the outcome and why?

Offhand, Badger, et al vs. Inks LWC, for reasons I detailed therein and you may recall. Evil Peter's interpretation of the facts wasn't unreasonable, but I think it was still wrong.

Also Peter v. Atlasia for similar reasons as stated in the dissent, though I would not hold such a sweeping opinion of federal power as its author.

Honorable Mention to Atlasia v. Giovanni, as the jurors were obviously bought and/or drunk. Tongue

I had forgotten about Badger, et al. v. Inks.LWC.  That was a great case.  Statutory interpretation in Atlasia is always fun.

Anyway, I have no further questions, so I'll give everyone else ~12 hours or so, and then we'll take it to a final vote.

We'll now take this to a final vote.  Members will vote AYE, NAY, or ABSTAIN.  This will be a 48-hour vote.

If it's any consolation, I re-read the Peter v. Atlasia decision and think I actually agree with the majority's reasoning now.

Voting is now closed.  The AYEs are 3, and the NAYs are 1, with 1 not voting.  The AYEs have it, and Badger is confirmed.

My thanks to the Assembly (even JCL Tongue) and our Gov. I reiterate my pledge to serve in this role effectively, impartially, and with an acceptable minimum of graft.
