To the OP how can a government work like this: it can't, and that's what Republicans want (destroy the government and remember any and all barriers and regulations so their rich donors can continue to have the good life). Republicans constantly preach about how government is evil and is the cause of all our problems, and then they get elected and prove it.

This shouldn't be surprising. It's the fundamental difference between the two parties: one believes in the good of government while the other is convinced that it is the worst thing in the world. To destroy the government, seems like a good idea to start bringing down the very institutions in our democracy and then just keep telling your voters all sorts of #AlternativeFacts about how government is their enemy. It seems to me that the only power the Republicans want the government to have is when it comes to controlling women's bodies.

I can't tell whether Trump is an anarchist or an authoritarian. It genuinely is terrifying to me.

The wheels may be spinning already on a coup. I'm not kidding either, no one in government seems to completely trust the President.

Anyone supporting a coup against Trump is a fool.
