Reality-check, folks: The seal of Georgia has already been stolen by a rather distinct entity in Atlasia. It is basically the logo of the Labor Party (see here: https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/images/b/b5/LaborLogo.png).

I can't support putting partisan symbols into our regional flag.

To be honest though, I'm not sure it's great to have the map on the flag with or without regional dismemberment. If that thing is blowing in the wind, it's going to look like a blurry blob. That was a big concern with proposed designs for the Canadian flag while it was being debated in the '60s. It's part of the reason why we settled on a very simplified maple leaf.

How many flags in real life have maps on them?

You know, I kind of like it. It's extremely odd, but it just sort of works. I keep going back and forth on it in my head though. I mean... how would it fly on a flagpole?

The only thing holding me back is that it's a diamond. I mean, it's a logistical nightmare. It looks cool on the pole, I'll give you that... but for the wiki and anything else, it's just a bit much, isn't it?

I agree. I just didn't know how to say it with tact. Tongue

Aye

(If it matters.)

I like Scott's designs. Have you done a mock version to see what it would look like with stars all the same size?

[1] NOTA

Sorry, I'm just not really moved by any of them. I think choosing a new flag that we're really just going to be settling on will only prolong the issue we have with our regional flag. I'd contribute more, but obviously I'm fizzling out on the Atlasia thing. Certainly won't be running for re-election. I keep trying to get involved again because it feels like I should, but I'm just not really interested.

Or we could just vote nay on cloture and offer that amendment here.

Tell me how you want me to vote on cloture. You're the speaker, so I'll leave it up to you. I just feel like it would be more convenient to do everything we need to do with the flag here and now.
