It depends on which party you're a member of:

If you're a fat Republican, you are said to be such a successful and rich lover of freedom that you can afford all the food you'd like to eat. You live the American dream.

If you are an overweight Democrat, however, they say that you are uneducated, ill-disciplined, and disgusting. You are unworthy of food stamps.
