CNN: Cruz internal polling had Kansas as neck-and-neck as late as yesterday.

It's funny that Cruz might be the first person to crack 50% in a state after all.

Hopefully this means the #NeverTrump movement is taking hold.

It is clear that Caitlyn Jenner's endorsement has had a YUGE influence on late deciders!

For a while, I thought that Cruz might be the anti-Trump candidate. I think he has even bigger electability problems than Trump, but whatever floats your boat, Republicans.
They're both unelectable.

LOLno.

If cruz and trump are unelectable then who should he endorse

I read his most recent book. He talked about how us conservatives aren't funny enough, and I was like, "dude, you aren't helping things."

Trump is more electable than Cruz. Cruz is bought off like Clinton. What better candidate to face the liar than the man who has bought her off? Cruz has NO shot of winning PA, MI, WI, OH, FL, NV, CO.

I agree. Rubio or Kasich would be more electable in the general election, versus Trump or Cruz.
There would be more "fear" in the Democrats with Rubio or Kasich.
But hey .... "Anyone Other Than trump" is a good slogan to go by.

Kasich is unelectable in the primary.

He can force it to a brokered convention and win there

Well if Cruz internal polling had them close...then yeah, this shouldnt have been a 2:1 win for Eduardo Rafa Cruz.

Polling is pretty bad for caucuses in general, and I do believe that Trump has anti-appeal in this state while Cruz is good at getting people out for these kind of things.

I'll venture a far off guess as to why Cruz did so well -

Kobach endorsed Trump
Roberts and Brownback endorsed Rubio

Those officials are all EXTREMELY unpopular in Kansas, and largely won re-election on the back of a wave election. Perhaps Cruz is the F you choice of Kansas voters?

I think it comes down to the non-Southern evangelicals, who are numerous in Kansas and have been backing Cruz to the hilt thus far.
