I can't say I'm surprised. This is a trait that runs through the paranoids with a persecution complex.  It has even been known to appear in those with Jewish ancestry.

The importance of Assange had really been way overblown. I say just let the guy alone and let him do as many interviews as possible. He is an odd individual and will discredit himself.  No sense validating a self important, paranoid douche.

I do. I prefer the satire to the articles, but there's still some good stuff in the latter.

The magazine sold an average of 210,000 copies in the second half of 2009; it appears to have gone up slightly since then. Only The Economist gets more, it seems (the Press Gazette site isn't working so I can't confirm that).
