Ladies and Gentlemen, let me tell you something I believe deeply in: the war in Vietnam must come to an end. Too many brave young Americas have died, their sacrifice amounting to nothing more than the continuation of this disruptive war.

A disruptive war that has led to:
•   More than 15,000 brave American soldiers dead and around 95,000 injured.
•   More than 100,000 South Vietnamese civilians dead, and God knows how many displaced.
•   More than 2 billion dollars being spent on monthly expenditures alone.

I don’t consider myself unpatriotic for opposing the war: I don’t hate America, or the troops that fight for it. No, it is because I love this country so much that I don’t its sons to be dying out in the jungles of Vietnam.

The War alongside the domestic ills of this great nation, be it the inequality of women or police brutality, can be solved. All we require is a united America and a level-headed candidate, one who will be steadfast in their conviction to the American people, one who will not be bought and sold by special interests. I will be that candidate.

And so with great excitement, I announce my candidacy for the highest office in the land. Now, there those that say I am just a protest candidate. One who will shout and rave but in the end amount to nothing. I respond by saying that I don't intent be background noise -- I intent to be the president of the United States of America!

As I have said before, I am the candidate that shall represent all Americans, not just white Americans or black Americans-- but all Americas! No matter your race, creed or gender!
