Jones should do ground work, but stay under the radar enough where Republicans believe that they are totally safe. He has a head start of an entire month, so he can do lots of ground work while Republicans are still fighting.

Don't fool yourselves: both the AL and the UT races are unwinnable for the Democrats.

Everyone stop posting, King Tender Branson has spoken. smh.

Of course not, there aren't enough Blaxicans to boost turnout...

Roy Moore is a nasty, hateful person. That's a step too far, even in Alabama.

Democrats should tie Republicans everywhere to Roy Moore like Republicans tie Nancy Pelosi to Democrats everywhere.

Roy Moore is crazy, but I do think that he can still win. There are a lot of very hardcore religious voters who believe what Moore believes and they will turn up for him.

Nah, I'm pretty sure religious Alabamans are more inclined to blame the dirty Muslims for 9/11 than they are to blame America.

He was using the Old Testament and that's not going to be seen as "blaming America", it's going to be seen as blaming liberals for testing God's wrath. These people who believe in the Old Testament seriously believe that God will punish the country because of liberals.

Strange is no Lisa Murkowski. He has zero appeal to Democrats and it would take Democrats for him to win. Assuming that he was able to take half of the Republican vote from Moore, he'd still need to take quite a few votes from Jones as well.

The reason no one came forward before now is because of how many Republicans are reacting now. If they aren't accusing the victims of lying, they are considering the allegations a non-factor in supporting Moore. Now that many women (and in few cases men) have opted to speak out in waves about sexual abuse and assault, more people are comfortable stepping forward.

We are truly seeing how out of control partisanship has become.

There really is no use arguing with anyone so partisan that they would make excuses for what is clearly wrong. Ignore Greedo.

I doubt that McConnell really believes the accusers, but it is the necessary thing to say for reasons of optics. If Moore gets elected, he will take his seat and be a regular member of the Republican caucus.

Moore is done, so let's not even pretend like he isn't. The strategy by Republicans now seems to be "vote for Moore so we can expel him", which is totally absurd, but Jones not winning is still a higher priority for them.

If he wins, he will not be expelled. Having a full caucus is what Republicans want.

They still would. He gets expelled, then Ivey appoints Strange again (or maybe Sessions.)

It's a lot less complicated to keep Moore. They won't expel him.

Jones deserves to win this election. He is such a good man. He's more christian than even Moore claims himself to be, yet Evangelicals rather a pedophile than a man with a D next to his name.

Does it not occur to you that they support someone who is rather transparently being subjected to a politically motivated witch hunt.

Consider the facts. In the Washington Post story it gave three accounts of Moore courting young women who were, according to Alabama law, of marriageable age. Perhaps you think that the age of consent in Alabama is too low (or more likely you think that young people should be sexually active for a number of years before getting married and starting a family). These stories describe Moore behaving in a highly proper and chaste manner, not only in public but also in private, always asking the mothers permission to court and not engaging in any premarital sex.

In the fourth story however the pattern of behaviour was totally different, abusive, secretive and unchaste. It could have sounded believable on its own but it completely failed to tally with the personality described in the other accounts.

Today's performance really seals it for me for this being BS. Another Oscar nominated Gloria Allred production. Today's Allred 'victim' came out with a statement that was not only describing yet another completely different MO but which read like bad fiction in a trashy novel. A well deserved Oscar nomination for all the over the top acting and fake crying but still pretty transparently fake.
