At this point, like most people, I think it's gonna be Harris.  She has great rapport with Biden, she covers all his gaps, and it's becoming more clear that she's who he personally wants.

Yeah, I think people might be underestimating how much Biden seems to personally like her.
It might be meaningless for pundits and political junkies but it's a very important aspect for the nominee himself.

Eh, I don't think the VP pick will have much of an impact.

It will if Biden's age becomes a big enough liability. Honestly, this might be the most consequential running mate selection since McCain's in 2008.

Klobouchar is a much better candidate and person than Harris. But we know Joe will go with Harris bc Dem ID politics demands it.

FOH.

Kamala and her both had the same career path besides Kamala running the largest DOJ in the country besides the US DOJ. While Amy was locking innocent black teens up for murders they didn’t commit, Kamala was redirecting low level non-violent offenders away from prison sentences, driving down marijuana convictions every year she was AG, getting billions from big banks, and prosecuting people who victimized women and children.

Ignoring her impeccable resume and declaring her potential pick as identity politics is racist as hell. She is more than qualified.

Looks like Harris will be the pick regardless, but I still think Duckworth is the way to go. What does Harris have that she doesn't?

So uh did Duckworth rule herself out or something because she seems like an obvious slam dunk VP candidate.

I’ve posted several times that if Duckworth was chosen I’d be equally satisfied as I would be with Kamala.

at this point I think she's been ruled out because her seat has a pretty high likelihood of flipping.

Baldwin definitely wouldn't be selected. That wouldn't be worth the risk of a Senator Glenn Grothman or Senator Paul Ryan or Senator Scott Walker.

That this report is in the NY Post is a dead giveaway that it's inaccurate.

So... I've been thinking about who I would realistically like to see as Biden's VP, and I'm kind of leaning towards Ayanna Pressley. Is there any major downside I'm not seeing to picking her? I feel like I haven't seen her name mentioned often, despite being fairly well-known among the Democratic Party faithful.

I like her personally, but I feel like Biden's age is a bigger issue than some might like to admit (not that he has any real issues right now but 78 is OLD and anything can happen at that age), and Pressley just doesn't have the necessary experience.

I like Amy and find her to be competent but can't help but see her being a Tim Kaine-esque dud as a VP choice honestly.

I been expecting Klobuchar. My problem with her is she is too safe of a pick. To be honest she does not the charisma needed to lead a ticket. This matters more because there is a chance Biden won't serve a full term. Harris would be a better pick as she has the charisma Klobuchar lacks. Whitmer might work. Her handling of the coronavirus could show readiness. She is still a couple years in her term. Duckworth not sure about.

Except for the ideological gap. A Harris pick does nothing to bring Bernie/Warren supporters or those in their coalition on board. This was a mistake Hillary made with Kaine in not trying to shore up unity in the Party.
