Seems like a good idea to me. Then again, I'm not an early riser Smiley But I don't think they'll like this in Scotland very much.

I believe something like this was shot down before because it would mean 10:00 sunrise in Aberdeen.

I would like to get rid of it, but the way it would affect Scotland is... eh... not good.

I never understand why we are supposed to change time itself rather than our schedules.

I never understand why we are supposed to change time itself rather than our schedules.

Because that would be cumbersome to your employer, rather than to you.
(Also, because summertime is a puritan nannystatist idea in origin that supposes that some of you sinners don't change their schedules as they oughta, so you shall be made to. Seriously. Look it up.)

As to the original question: While it would certainly be preferrable to dump summertime, and my second preference would be to return it to its original meaning of *summer* time rather than *second half of spring, summer and much of fall* time... extending it to cover the whole year would still be preferrable to the paltry remnant of reality we're still exposed to.

Permanent summer time there? Ambitious.

But, he is right, far too many clouds and rain there.

Not very conservative though.
