Discuss.

The only one that might be realistic in my view, is that Flight 93 was shot out of the sky.  I vividly recall fighter jets blazing over my office (I was outside smoking)......not too long after that Flight 93 went down.

I'm not saying I'm sure that's what happened, but it wouldn't shock me, and if they did blow it out of the sky to prevent it from reaching its final destination.....ok by me.

I saw some fighter jets, too so I wouldn't jump to any conclusions.

I don't buy any of the bullshit, personally.  A lot of it bothers me greatly.

Well I havent jumped to any conclusions but it's not something I'd be shocked at if it was true, that's all.

A lot of what bothers you greatly?  9/11? (understandable)  or the conspiracy theorists (also understandable)

While the shooting down of flight 93 might be possible, I don't really believe in any "alternate theories."

None.  UA93 would have been shot down had our air defense not been inept to internal threats.  The debris field, audio etc dont show a shootdown.  I believe the Jets were still quite far away from UA93 and I am not even sure they were armed.

I neither believe nor disbelieve any.  I tend to believe that while the official story of derring-do is unlikely, it could have succeeded as depicted, and thus will forever after give a feeling of hope and pride to those who cannot realistically expect to ever defeat the Empire.  I'm sure I'm not the first to compare it to Luke Skylark lobbing that whatever it was into the drainage hole in the Deathstar.

It's stupid really....every dramatic event has some alternative conspiracy theory that some people always believe.

Not to say that conspiracies never happen....but yeah.

Extreme rightists/leftists only believe what they want to believe and will help fit their radical agenda.

I believe 9/11 happened as it has been told by the major media.

Look.. I'm not Mr. Ultra Patriot here and I abhor the things we have done to other countries and the way we have treated and exploited others and I believe it should stop.

But 9/11 was a tragedy.  It was a vile, disgusting, murderous act stemming from the most petty of human emotions with a religion to "justify" it.

But I think it showed that the United States is more than just a conglomeration of military might and financial prowess.  We are cohesive family of free people who are adaptable and resilient when we face incredible odds.  No extremist Muslim fanatic with a jihad chip on his shoulder will ever take that away.

Um, not to offend anyone, but how were we up against 'incredible odds'?  Unless you mean incredible odds in our favor.  I'd say the amazing circumstance was that this ragtag band of muslim fanatics managed to pull off this grisly feat.

All 9/11 proved was the incompetence of the State when it comes to PREVENTING disaster, not giving it credit for CREATING disaster.

Also,

The only thing I believe was that the Clinton/Bush administrations were incompetent and that led to 9/11.

I don't tend to believe conspiracy theories, but they are fun to think about. Usually if the theory starts involving more than 10 people it falls apart in my eyes.

Only that it was planned by Steve Jobs.

But other than that, the official story seems pretty genuine.
