What do people think about having the budget passed twice a year? It is a good topic of debate and a year is a very long time in the game. Would basically allow each 2-term governor at least one crack at the budget.

It's an interesting proposal. I'd be willing to support that.

I am going to work on putting this whole thing together and will try to have it completed by early next week. Will add in any changes to the bill of rights later on.

I'm finalizing a final draft. I'd just like to note that at this point, the only substantial changes we are making are to the recall procedure and a change to when regional senate elections occur. All other changes are grammar/name changes and minor.

I am asking each member of this committee to take time to read through the ENTIRE proposed constitution and advise of any errors you see. This is absolutely crucial. To avoid confusion, I'm not granting editing rights to anyone else, if you see mistakes, please post them in here and I will confirm when they are correct.

I had left that there to cover all previous legislation that refers to the region as the Southern Region so that it isn't voided out. Figured there should be something ensuring a transition?

Other input? I don't feel comfortable putting this up to a vote until we get feedback from all committee members.

Bringing this up again, I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of interest. I don't see a point in having a vote since no one else is participating, so unless there are objections, I will call this ConCon CLOSED in 48 hours. At that time I will submit our final draft to the Chamber for consideration.

The ConCon has been closed. I will review final version and propose to the Chamber next week.

FWIW I am intentionally waiting on this, given the state of the legislature right now, I don't have confidence that this will receive the proper debate it deserves from them. I will fix this.
