Honestly, Obama's new Cuba policy is probably one of the best things to come from his Presidency.
It really is a diamond in the rough, along with the Iran Deal, killing Osama and ending the Iraq War.
It's not a diamond in the rough if there are a lot of diamonds.
You consider Libya, Syria, Yemen, drones, the Ukraine, and the prosecution of Edward Snowden good things?
We could have a thread per each of these topics, but to respond on the most fallacious claims:
re. Drones: The drone program has been one of the most effective military programs to date. The obvious complaint is civilians being killed in the collateral damage, but at the point where the US would be going after these terrorists regardless, it is preferable to use a tool that is both more accurate and effective, that doesn't risk American lives on the ground.
Wow. Just wow. So killing civilians is okay and justified when it comes to the war on terror? If I imagined that a drone killed my family and me, ... just frightening, disgusting and a cruel war crime.
You can't target civilians. You can kill civilians as collateral damage sometimes, as long as it's in the course of a legitimate military action, like trying to kill the leadership of Al Qaeda.
