Should David Duke mount a primary challenge in 2020? His anti-establishment , anti-political correctness message might resonate with the republican core constituency

He'd win. All he has to do is say every so often that he's not a racist. Moderate Republicans will see him as the lesser of two evils against a corrupt, elitist Democrat. It's the economy, stupid.

Yeah, because the only reason people don't vote Democrat is because they see them as "elitist."

LOL, you have a truly cute opinion of what your party is.  Wealthy Whites aren't voting Republican because they think those damn Democrats are too elitist.  College educated Whites aren't voting Republican because they think Democrats are elitist.  Suburbanites (of which Trump won and Congressional Republicans won even more handily) aren't voting Republican because they want a folksy party.  A whole lot of people out there think your party doesn't benefit them personally whatsoever and see its base as just simply weird as shlt, LOL.

College educated whites have ALWAYS voted republican.
