If former Gov. Lincoln Chafee, ever won the Democratic nomination, how would he fare against the GOP field?  Please discuss with maps.

Honestly, I think he'd be the worst possible Democratic candidate. He'd probably lose to any of the Republican candidates with political experience.

I don't see why his position on the metric system is some kind of joke. Honestly, I think it's refreshing to see a candidate taking it seriously. This is something scientists have been pushing for a long time now, and with good reason. It's much better than the English unit system. I doubt he thinks he's scoring big political points by bringing it up so I assume his position is sincere. We lost a Mars orbiter because someone didn't convert inches to centimeters. It's not a trivial issue. The joke is that no one seems to care.

If the Republicans were winning by the popular vote margins you assert, they would also win by MUCH greater electoral margins than those shown on your maps.
