Possible, if only to set himself up for a VP slot. It's hard to see him winning as a Rep and not a senator or governor. His problem is that, I think, it'd be hard for him to grab a senate seat or the governorship in WI...

He already ruled it out back in February, although he didn't state whether he'd accept a Veep nod.

This. Also, I think he would only run if Obama's approvals were consisntely below 40%.

Yeah, Ryan, like Jindal, is young enough to have a chronological buffet of elections to choose from.  Why run now when he doesn't have the name recognition or the excitement centering around him?  He has a great deal of potential, but who knows who this fellow is outside of well-informed political circles?
