ETA: The judge also ordered Kobach to take some legal classes!  That's hilarious.

Can't think of anywhere else to put this so I'll ask here: are any of you worried that Arizona State Legislature v. Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission might get struck down by the new SCOTUS, which would make the MI initiative illegal?

I am, considering Roberts went on a rage fit in his dissent on that case and there's no way Gorsuch or whoever Trump's new nominee is would uphold it.

http://www.wmur.com/article/split-court-says-voter-residency-bill-is-constitutional/22128916

This is NH specific. State Supreme Court says a bill that basically disenfranchises college students in the state is constitutional, even though the state constitution says voting rights are guaranteed for "inhabitants", not residents.

On that Florida ruling, this is terrific (the 2nd part below):

Gotta love that 2nd class democracy

Those Latino wait times are shocking. 10% of Latinos are half an hour away from a polling station and 11% wait half an hour in line? That's with the fact that Latino turnout is awful.

I can't even imagine waiting in line more than 10 minutes to vote, quite frankly.

SCOTUS rules 6-2 to essentially disenfranchise Native Americans in North Dakota, and the fact that can't be said to be hyperbole says a lot.

Don't overestimate the impact of early voting, however. Studies have shown that early voting results aren't that reliable at predicting the actual winners in many races.

Remember how people were saying that states like FL and NC were virtual locks for Hillary in 2016 due to her early voting advantage in those states? In the case of NC, it turned out that her early voting advantage was less than that of Obama in 2012 (and Obama lost NC that year).

Well, Nevada has tended to be the exception to that rule.
