Remarkable that Gillum overperforms Nelson at this point. It's just by an inch, but remarkable still.
I'll repeat what I just posted on the governors races page. While the Venn Diagram would only cover 1-2% of the electorate, I'm still having a hell of a time conceiving a Gillum-Scott voter.
Probably a Latino.
But I personally doubt these voters(Gillum-Scott or DeSantis-Nelson) exist.
Maybe? Specifically a Puerto Rican who recently left the island, or has family who did. Their typical Democrat sympathies tend to favor Gillum, but Scott's hard outreach to the state's Maria diaspora community directly impacted them or someone close to engender their support.
That and other soft Democrats who are grateful for what they perceive as Scott's directly aiding their family. Not many such people, but probably enough to constitute the 1-2%. Otherwise we're left with the voting block of "Democrats/progressives whom Bill Nelson once personally took a swing at."
