Currently, 538 shows McMullin in 3rd place in Utah (2nd in the nowcast) and surging. If McMullin was the Republican nominee rather than an independent third-party, how would he be doing in this crazy state? Would he be doing better or worse than Romney in 2012?

It would obviously be a McMullin landslide similar to Romney.  Maybe a little smaller if Utah is less Mormon now.

I'm no Utah expert, but I suspect he'd be a generally worse candidate than Romney nationwide, but would do about as well as Romney in Utah.
