LEAVING LAS VEGAS

This movie had been in my head since I watched it for the first time last week so I just had to watch it again. Quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno

It was pretty funny though what was with it becoming a chick flick at the end?

Kevin Smith.

APOCALYPSE NOW

Incredible and terrifying, as always. Perhaps the best film of all time.

Just seems odd, since I can't think of any movies or music of the opposite ideology I like.

That explains a lot.

Nicholas Cage's acting, however, perhaps was a comedic performance worth watching.

Besides LEAVING LAS VEGAS, that pretty much sums up his whole career.

STATE OF PLAY

A great political thriller. Now I just need to see the BBC version.

My only real big problem with State of Play is the ending basically downgraded the whole scope of the story. They had this huge conspiracy going on and then kind of threw it all away.

I disagree, actually. The conspiracy theory was hard to believe and the ending made the story both more interesting and more realistic.

Yea, I completely agree. The way they were going with the story was somewhat predictable but then they just flipped it all around.

QUANTUM OF SOLACE

Perhaps the most underrated 007 film. Hopefully this film will be re-evaluated in the future and placed among the best of the series, much like what happened with ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE and LICENCE TO KILL.

SYRIANA

A great look at the relationship between oil companies, the Middle East, and American foreign policy. Great performances all around.

Mean Streets, 1973 mob movie with Harvey Keitel, and Robert DeNiro. Directed by Martin Scorsese. Decent.

Really Naso? All these C-Grade movies you rave about on here and you call MEAN STREETS simply "decent?"
