Now, I know that endorsements are a part of every campaign, but I think it takes a little of the excitement out of fantasy politics when half the voting population endorses publicly their support a while before the election -- I'm not saying don't have a preference, but wait a while until the campaign has unfolded, etc -- someone else may run that you'll prefrence higher, there may be events that cause you to rethink, etc.

I think it's a good way to keep the possibility of an upset on election weekend alive, because that's always fun Cheesy

Well Nation, I respect your point and I hope I am able to earn your first preference.

I concur fully. Smiley

Don't worry, Ken, you're at least my first preference of all declared candidates so far.

Given that I don't even know who any of the left wing candidates are, I'm going to be quiet for now.

I've generally always have had a policy of not making endorsements until right before the election.

My endorsment is always conditional.  I will admit, I tend to use it more for influence over the candidate than influence over the electorate.  This isn't one of those cases, I think.

In my case, I feel that KEmperor is a strong candidate running on a strong platform.  I have no reason to expect that a stronger combination of candidate and platform will arise between now and the election.  Of course, if his central issue was taken away before the election by the convening of a Convention, my support might change.
