I said that because I was a yellow dog democrat then and I thought the hindsight part was because it would have allowed Slade Gorton to serve in the senate longer without knowing anything about Brock Adams lol.

I guess we used to be more similar but now I have shifted a bit and also toned down my contrarianism.
