I think it would fit the German word ("Österreich" or "Eastern Realm") more and would avoid confusion with Australia.

And then we would forever have the confusion with Istria Smiley Then, again, Istria, at least, used to be Austrian Smiley

Austria, is, in fact, a real country with real history. Germany, on the other hand, being an artificial forced union of disparate states....
