After watching the highlights of the two Mets-Phillies games I actually have more confidence than I did for the Mets this year. Time to savour being top.

I just realised that the Yankees have the second lowest win percentage so far out of any team this season, which is nice.

A utility player is simply someone who can play multiple positions at a playable level. Whether it's more common for them to be on the bench or not the strict definition doesn't preclude them from starting. It's also not a term unique to baseball.

Yeah, the Mets are obviously doing better and it's a great 'journey' the teams going on but I don't expect them to do well in the play offs, though I'm confident that they can get there. Whereas in NL West the raw stats make the Cali teams look worse than they are.
