Considering the US is a "nation of immigrants", are there any countries where more Americans immigrate to than people from that country immigrate to America? Given most developed countries have fairly low numbers of emigration (presumably mostly for professional reasons or factors like marriage), I wonder if any European countries have a positive balance. Canada and Australia have even higher migrant balances overall than the US so those are other possibilities.

Maybe some of the Gulf States due to Americans working in the oil industry and the low propensity of people there to emigrate.

This piqued my curiosity, so I had a look at Swiss immigration stats. Around 1600 Swiss people move to the US each year and around 3500 US citizens move to Switzerland per year. Athough, because historical migration was mostly in the other direction, and because the vast majority of people moving in either direction these days are doing so temporarily, there are still more Swiss citizens in the US than the other way round. But at this point in time, the US is a net exporter to Switzerland.

Per a 2010 article I cannot find (and would also be 10 years out of date in any case), the only such nations are Australia, Israel, and Switzerland.

(There are, per Wikipedia, 100,000-150,000 Israeli-Americans, and 150,000-180,000 American-Israelis, so Israel seems to be another country the US is a net exporter of people to.)

Probably random rich small countries nobody has a reason to leave, like Monaco.

How about cheap parts of Europe where people can retire to, like Portugal and Spain. And of course Costa Rica.

467 people with Austrian citizenship emigrated from Austria to the US

2.064 people with a foreign citizenship immigrated from the US to Austria
1.765 people with a foreign citizenship emigrated from Austria to the US

Therefore, Austria had a net 299 gain of people with a foreign citizenship from the US.

It is fairly easy for an American to live in Israel as long as they are an Orthodox Jew.
