So Comedy Central has announced that DAILY SHOW's "Senior Black Correspondent" Larry Wilmore will get Colbert's spot with a new show "THE MINORITY REPORT".

Sounds interesting. Wilmore is funny but I hope the show is better than Comedy Central's "Chocolate News" with David Alan Grier which lasted only 10 episodes. Hopefully the show isn't just about race as that might be too limiting.

Congratulations to John Oliver, who somehow missed prime time leading to this. Tongue

Probably going to be a flop.

Shame.  I was sort of expecting something, you know, good.

Has Comedy Central developed a show worth watching since the Colbert Report?  I give Key & Peele a chance every now and then but it's always just so mediocre and predictable.

I think @midnight is worthwhile, but that's about it.

Larry Wilmore's the weakest of the commentators.

I would have loved a Kristen Schaal show. Or even an old man Lewis Black.

I've always greatly enjoyed his segments.  Hopefully it translates well into a show.

The Kristen Schaal show would be excellent. Lewis Black's best format is stand up.

This doesn't really elicit a response from me. #kanyeshrug

A Kirsten Schall show would be incredible for sure.

I don't think she could do both her own shown and Bob's Burgers though. Colbert had to quit his voice acting when he got his show.

I think a better idea would've been to expand The Daily Show to one hour and fill it with increased interview lengths and more frequent appearances by Wilmore, Schaal, Hodgman, etc.

Schaal's segments are generally pretty awful.  Jason Jones would've been the best pick (I'd have also been fine with them resurrecting Lewis Black's show).  However, Wilmore will either be great or flop completely.

The answer is yes, a lot. Nathan For You in particular is excellent.

Demetri Martin's show was pretty good.
