Ya'll need to chill.  A small group of crazy people are running around the capitol but there's no need to start shooting people, JFC.  Its not even comparable to this June when we had whole neighborhoods going up in flames.  The people who break the law should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  That does NOT mean opening fire on them.

In June I was saying that the business owners should be shooting the looters with chain guns. I'm not about to change tune now.

Yeah, I believe there are tunnels and walkways that lead out of the Capitol for cases like these.

I think it's more likely that they are simply trying to avoid the optics of a bloodbath in the Capitol. I understand the logic of it, but I don't agree with it.

Riot is a weird way to describe storming the Capitol.

How is it any different than BLM protesters storming, occupying and in some cases burning police precinct buildings?  Both types of power are legitimately constituted 

It is the same thing in principle but many magnitudes worse in scale. Again, the looters and rioters who destroyed property in June should have been shot, and these fascist goons should be dealt with in much the same way.

I was actually predicting this earlier today. I told a friend that within two months, the very same people who are at the Capitol today will be saying "This was all a false flag to make us look bad." Little did I know it'd take only two hours.

I also think this might be the final straw for me when it comes to American law enforcement. What an upside-down world we live in where people who allow something like this to happen are idolized, whereas public defenders and defense attorneys are vilified. This country has an obscene fetish for the "direct force" aspect of law enforcement, and treating police as our sacred cows has allowed them to get away with far, far too much.
