Is the GOP trying to scare him out of running for relection or do they truly believe he's beatable?

I don't think anything could scare him out of running for re-election and he is certainly unbeatable.

If they was ever an unbeatable seantor it is most certainly Robert Byrd.

He might fall slightly behind Ted Kennedy and GOP senators from the Bush >60% states, but yeah, Byrd is safe.

Hah, Byrd is a terrible senator. Needless to say, he fits West Virginia quite well.

Well said.  Although, I'd change the word senator to person.
