Cuomo, Harris, Wyden or Hillary Clinton gets nominated. I would be a tossup on Booker.

I'm all Republican, all the time.  I have simply decided that everything I like is Republican, and everything  I dislike is Democratic.

We're like two peas in a pod!

OK. What about Trump is liberal?

I didn't say Trump is liberal.  I said everything I dislike is Democratic (like macaroni and cheese, for example).  Seeing as I kind of dislike Trump, my official stance is he used to be a Democrat, so he still kind of is.

God, your logic that you base your life around is very exhausting, BRTD.

If his dumb sh**t is funny AND inoffensive (and he did the first three things you said), he would have easily had my vote, LOL.

You know it would be neither. If that were the case, he'd have been more of a comedian.

If he actually completely guts Obamacare (I doubt it), lowers taxes substantially, supports liberal social issues such as gay marriage and gun control (I doubt it), then I would consider it.  The first test is whether he guts Obamacare as promised.  Repealing it and replacing it with Obamacare lite would not interest me.  It needs to totally go.  Also, he needs to have Mexico pay for the wall as promised.

why are you even a Democrat?

If he publicly denounces and vows to fight bigotry (and defend LGBTQ rights), shows much more nuance and maturity when dealing with just about any issue (i.e. no more Twitter temper tantrums), actually does create millions of jobs, doesn't build a wall or take the country in a nativist/anti-immigrant direction, promotes much more stability in the Middle East and around the world, and actually takes congressional Republicans down a peg, and encourages both parties to compromise more. If his presidency is that successful, and Democrats nominate a joker, I would certainly consider voting for him. I think we all know the odds of that actually happening, though.

Why wouldn't I be?  I support liberal social issues.  I just don't feel like paying 50% taxes to support Obamacare recipients (mostly from Trump states).

The highest marginal rate is far lower than 50%, plus I sincerely doubt you make enough to meet the threshold and even then, that would only be on income above $250,000...unless you're tossing in more than just income tax.

Trump states are still American states, and the people there need healthcare.

If he turns out to not a complete and total disaster.  Expectations are set so low for him (and the 2020 Democrats are so abysmal) I've become resigned the the fact that I'll probably be a Clinton 2016/Trump 2020 voter.

If the economy doesn't slide into recession, he proves able to play tough in Syria and the SCS, and is willing to stand up to the crazy ultra-conservative Congress on a few issues (like repealing Obamacare without a suitable replacement), I expect that he will have an above-average first term.  His "tough guy" act coupled with a rise in the national mood would make him very, very hard to defeat in 2020.

11 years without a recession?
