Somewhat disappointed... but then again I would say to myself that a party in the U.S. seldomly holds the presidency for more than eight years and that it's better to have Kasich than someone like Trump, Cruz, or Rubio. Or Carson. Or Huckabee. Or Santorum.

Fine. You know what you're getting with Kasich, and you can take it or leave it.

I'd be disappointed, but I wouldn't be disgusted and ashamed.

Not the best outcome but I would have faith that this is somebody who is fit to serve and while we may not see eye to eye on every issue he's a good man who would do his best for America. I cannot say that for Donald Trump.

Very, very excited and happy.

Since Trump won 306 electoral votes, I can only imagine Kasich's floor. Maybe 350 with this map:

That's six states Trump lost by ~5% or less going to Kasich.

You're assuming that Kasich is a much better candidate than Trump. How is that a better assumption than Clinton being a much better candidate than Trump?

Clinton and Trump were almost as unpopular as each other. But Kasich didn't have -20% favorability ratings. Polls showed him crushing Hillary in a landslide, while unreliable, signal he was more popular than  Trump.

Sure, but Kingpoleon implied that Kasich's floor would be that map. We have no idea what he would have been like in a nationwide general election.

I'd be happy and eagerly looking to the future. So, in other words, the opposite of how I am now.

I would have been much happier than I am.  I voted for Kasich in the NE primary, though it had been settled for Trump by then.

I know from experience I can live with Kasich as the man-in-charge. So disappointed, but a lot better feeling than now.

He would have won in a landslide but wouldn't change anything. So, as a Non-American, I wouldn't really care.

Still not the preferred outcome, but much better than with Mr. Drumpf. Kasich is calm, polite, not divisive, has knowledge and tons of political experience. I always liked him most out of the GOP contenders.
