Sad I wish our Prime Minister was... charismatic enough to do those kinds of things.

I do wonder why so much attention is paid to the British PM, when Canada is actually the US's biggest trading partner, and most important ally.

I was in a room watching CNN in an Adam Hasner office (yes, I am doing real campaign work, not signwaving) when I heard the 1812 jokes. After a brief silence, everyone started giggling. Obama was funny Tongue

Is the UK doing anything to celebrate the bicentennial? It's going to played up here a bit.

Most Brits I talk to don't know anything about the War of 1812, if they've even heard of it.  Their major focus at the time was the Napoleonic War; 1812 was a now forgotten sideshow for them.
