Jake Tapper noted that being in VA they may be skewed to Kaine.


which raises the question, Why did they set up a focus group in Richmond VA?  

Seriously.

It is not a swing state this cycle.

How is this a long-term win for Mike Pence? Aside from the ~5 minutes on abortion toward the end, he spent nearly the entire debate talking about his running mate... most of which involved either denying that Trump had said things that all of us know that he's said or making incredibly tendentious excuses.

He was calm and came across well on TV.....sadly that kind of stuff matters and people will remember that and not what was actually said.
