That's actually better for the Dem than the last poll, which I believe had Heineman at 70%.

     True, it has swung 20% to the Democrat since mid-July. At this rate, Heineman will only be at 51% by the end of October. Unfortunately for Democrats, linearly extrapolating swings is poor use of statistical data.

The Democrats managed to get a candidate in this one?

They had a candidate who dropped out post-primary, so the current one (an attorney who lost a race for Attorney General previously) is a replacement.
