They're actually worse then Golden Dawn, which would only ruin the lives of people it disliked, whereas KKE would ruin the lives of people it liked as well.

The KKE are about as threatening as a six year old with a water pistol. Communism is dead and is never coming back: essentially they're just a strange electoral cult. Golden Shower, however, are an actual menace.

The offspring of that party(Syriza) does have a shot at power though. Toned down communism is still communism.

The point is that you can't really have a Communist Party in a Europe in which the Soviet Union does not exist. You can have strange legacy groups that still use the names, the flags and the rhetoric (the KKE being the most amusing example) and postcommunist parties of one type or another, but no one takes their orders (or, equally important, money) from Moscow now.
