Have you watched the CNN coverage.  Everytime they do that super close up on her picture, with the music, it makes it sound like the girl is some kinda felon.

We are pointing out the hypocrisy of "moral values" religious wingnuts like Sarah Palin. I hope that her daughter chose the path that is best for her, and wasn't talked out of an abortion if that's what she wanted.

What is hypocritical about Palin's response? Her daughter did something she didn't want her to do. She can't always control that.

What would be hypocritical would be if she allowed her to get an abortion.

Plus, who cares if she was talked out of it?  Are people not allowed to try to convince people not to have them?

What I have concluded in all this is that the fridge Left is just dying to repeat the experience of the Wellstone Memorial Service, and prove to the world that they are so rabidly bitter and hateful that they have no boundaries.

Palin's daughter should get an abortion, and no one should be having children at age 17 (or younger). However, the fundamentalist mother will not allow her to do that.

The best analogy to all of this would be Eisenhower's pick of a rookie extremist Nixon in 1952. The defeatist hacks in the GOP machine already mistrusted Nixon (for all the wrong reasons, btw), but couldn't hide their glee after it came out that a group of millionaires set up a "secret slush fund" to finance his high-living wife. They were the primary voices in E's campaign wanting to dump Nixon.

But we know how all that turned out. In one word: "Checkers."

Palin, badly, needs a "Checkers" type speech or performance to end all GOP-based talk of VP swapping, which would lead to only absolute defeat.

You are totally right, if Palin emerges from this huge mess looking like a strong person, then it will only help her image and erase the stain of her "inexperience," but will she?
