I thought Bernie wanted to replace Obamacare, just like Cruz does?

CNN already has a countdown clock of 6 days, 5 hours, ten minutes, and 38 seconds on the air I'm sure. They're acting like this is the Lincoln-Douglas debates. It's not. It's some pseudo-conservative crank who philosophizes everything around the fake philosophy he holds, while the other is the leader of the Democratic Party's internal opposition. They have no real sway over the broad debate, which will be dominated as always by soft center-right and soft center-left members of Congress.

I guess the nation is tuning out again and CNN needs the ratings boost. This election has been a huge jolt of life into their programming and you can see how desperate they are to maintain it. I have no choice but to watch this channel as I have crappy cable. I don't know what Fox or MSNBC are saying these days, but it's hard to top CNN tier desperation. They'll put up respected journalists against random talking heads (professional scream-over-ers?) on panels to analyze whether Barron Trump going to school in New York City somehow violates the Whatever Amendment, then later on they'll let Carl Bernstein go on for a solid ten minutes on a nakedly partisan rant and challenge anyone who disagrees with him (buh buh muh Watergate!) as being blind to the truth, anti-press, etc, etc.

Both are very extreme and total opposites on the political spectrum.

This is the kind of debate I like, one focused on policy from two very different viewpoints.

Man you gotta love Bernie! Too bad most hackish Democrats on this forum were blinded by their Clinton obsession to realize what a good general election candidate he could be.

If someone tries to use the "electability" argument during the 2020 primaries, we should all laugh in their faces.

BTW, HRC tended to win her debates against Sanders. Then again, she also DESTROYED Trump during the first debate. Did not help Her.

This has been very interesting so far, CNN should do more of these. A ninety minute debate about one topic is way better than a two hour debate divided into ten minute segments for broad issues.

I think Cruz is doing pretty well, and they are both doing a good job making their points.  It's a better quality debate than the presidential ones, for sure!

Ironically it was them pushing he most unpopular Democratic candidate in US history just to lose.

This is the first American debate I've watched in a long time that doesn't feel like it's 7 hours long

This debate has something that was completely missing from the Presidential general election. Discussion of issues.

Bernie just whispered to the moderators to ask the name of the woman who asked the question while Cruz was speaking.
