A more interesting appointment is that of fiamma nirenstein as an ambassador to Italy, the interesting part of course is the fact that she used to be an Italian MP! I've yet to hear of something like that.

In other news: the political climate is rather calm lately. Herzog still not crawling in and with Ashkenazi's case closed Lapid is trying to win him over as #2 whilst Labour politicos are trying to talk him into running versus Herzog

in regards to Syrian, an interesting incident happened last month when Druze at the Israeli side of the border ambushed a military ambulance carrying 2 Syrian opposition fighters and lynched them
