Anyone watch the Marr interview? To me, he came across as very cynical towards today's Labour. Shame really. I still think that if you ignore the Iraq stuff, he was a brilliant Prime Minister.

Might buy the memoirs some time down the road.

His autobiography is dominating the British press.

I have to say, I like Tony. I don't think I'd actually vote for him in any of his elections, but he's a net improvement over the Labour party of the past, and overall, I consider him a FF, on balance.

Well, for his 10 years, his foreign policy was my only genuine complaint. Tongue

Certainly interesting to hear him confirm Brown's stubborn and agressive nature. It's been hinted at and now confirmed by so many people it can pretty much be taken as go. My mum still thinks the world of him; but bullys are quite good at portraying themselves as victims so I can't blame her.

FWIW, most bullies were victims of bullying in the past.

There are two very good reasons to avoid reading this book. The first is that it seems to be an autobiography of the 'everything I said and did was right and things are only not-right now because those bastards didn't listen to me' school, and the second... well... the published extracts. The man cannot write. Full stop. Or, rather, exclamation mark!

What would the other schools of autobiographies happen to be?

Well yeah, did you see the Marr interview? When he was asked why he thought Labour lost, he basically just said he thought they went too far-left (which, obviously, isn't true. Let's be serious.)

Why read the book when someone else has done it for you?

Well, I think Blair's foreign policy was a largely naive, egotic and sensless s**t.
