Why is Update locked?

ODF: I got a new job at a healthy grocery store!
Update rats: Wow, ok. What's the pay?
ODF: $10 an hour, full time.
Update rats: Ok ok, not bad. Can you handle being on your feet and maybe some heavyish lifting?
ODF: I think so. I'll be sore at first but in time I'll get used to it and even lose some weight just by standing!
Update rats: Well let's not get ahead of ourselves, but alright, this sounds like the real deal. Good job, Bushie!
ODF: So it's going really great so far! I'm really loving this new career! My back is a little sore, but overall I feel really good about this!
Facebook friend (bathed in prayer): Your back is sore?! Oh my, no! I'm fat like you and I couldn't handle walking-around-type work, so I got a sit down job the rest of my life. And other than the diabeetus and my oxygen tank, I'm fit as a fiddle!
ODF: Good point! I'll quit tomorrow.
Update rats: wtf wtf wtf are you doing wtf
ODF: Welp, it's too late now I've already quit. Maybe that was a bad move? Oh well! There's nothing I could do.
