Yes, absolutely Democrats should vote down this travesty. It's unfortunate so many of them are bought and paid for by said industry.

Strictly from a political perspective, not an ethical one, the best thing for Democrats to do is...

1. be loudly reluctant to this aspect of the bill
2. wait for Republicans to lie and say prices won't go up
3. sign the bill reluctantly (WIN on factory jobs)
4. call out Republican liars when prices go up
5. continue drawing attention to this through 2020 election
6. new Dem presidency legislates drug price control in 2021

This plan would require the American electorate having an attention span they don't have even 10% of.
